Money:
- We need itemized costs in order to use WWU AS funds. Hannah and I,and anyone else who is interested, are going to go visit a hardware store to check what the prices are for a digester (like the one built by Ben Dearman).
- Jason's BP contribution is going through...I'm not sure if it has, or what needs to be done....?
- We still need to pay the $150 charge to the national organization.
Food waste from campus:
- (Drew can you do this?)
- Follow up with Chris Kenny, and let him know that it will be a while next quarter) before we are ready for food, and we wont need much.
- We need to figure out a design for the digester.
- Simple
- Cheap
- Easy
- Small
- Cold weather resistant
- Cold weather concerns? insulation...heaters...solar power?....
- How do we start it....? get manure or leachate from existing digester....
Space:
Hannah and I [Forrest] met with the Outback farm coordinators today. They wereenthusiastic about our proposition, but were concerned about thesafety. I will follow up with that and contact Tim Wynn (facilitiesmanager) to find out who the safety person is.
